Main Perks of Installing Window Tint for Your Vehicle

Enhanced Heat Rejection

Window tinting significantly reduces the amount of heat entering your vehicle, keeping the interior cooler on hot days. This helps improve comfort for passengers and reduces the workload on your air conditioning system, which can lead to better fuel efficiency. By maintaining a more stable interior temperature, tinted windows make your driving experience more enjoyable and comfortable, even in the peak of summer under the hot Florida sun.

UV Protection

Our high-quality window tint blocks up to 99% of harmful UV rays, protecting both your skin and your vehicle’s interior. This prevention of UV exposure helps keep your upholstery, dashboard, and other interior elements from fading and cracking, thus preserving the aesthetic and resale value of your vehicle. Additionally, UV protection can reduce the risk of skin-related health issues caused by prolonged sun exposure.

Increased Privacy

Tinted windows provide enhanced privacy for you and your passengers, making it more difficult for outsiders to see inside your vehicle. This added level of privacy not only helps in concealing valuables but also offers a sense of security for occupants. Moreover, it can create a more comfortable and secluded environment during your commutes.

Glare Reduction

Window tinting effectively reduces glare from the sun and headlights, improving visibility and making driving safer. This reduction in glare minimizes eye strain and enhances overall driving comfort, especially during bright, sunny conditions or at night when facing oncoming traffic. By improving visibility, window tinting contributes to a safer driving experience.

Florida Window Tinting Rules and Regulations

In Florida, window tinting is regulated to enforce road safety. For passenger vehicles, the front side windows must allow at least 28% visible light transfer (VLT), meaning 28% of the visible light passes through the window, while the rear side and back windows can have darker tints. The windshield can only have a non-reflective tint along the top 6 inches. For SUVs and vans, the rules are more lenient, allowing darker tint on all windows.

Additionally, all window tint must meet the state’s standards for reflectivity—no more than 25% on the front windows and no more than 35% on the rear windows. It’s important to use a certified professional for installation to ensure compliance with these regulations and avoid potential fines. Keeping up with local laws helps ensure your tinting provides the desired benefits without legal issues. All of our window tint is legal in the state of Florida and we always stay up to date on regulations.

Common Questions About Automotive Window Tinting

  • Will window tinting affect your vehicle’s warranty?

High-quality window tinting from a reputable provider should not affect your vehicle’s warranty. However, it’s always a good idea to check with your vehicle manufacturer to ensure compliance with warranty terms.

  • How do you maintain tinted windows?

To maintain tinted windows, we recommend you avoid rolling them down for at least 48 hours after we complete the installation to ensure proper adhesion. When cleaning the windows, use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner and a soft cloth, and avoid using ammonia-based cleaners, as they can damage the film.

  • Can window tint be removed if needed?

Yes, we can professionally remove your window tint if necessary. The removal process involves heating the film and carefully peeling it off, followed by cleaning any residual adhesive. It’s best to have a professional handle the removal to avoid damage to the glass.

  • Are there different types of window tint?

Yes, there are several types of window tint, including carbon, ceramic, and metallic films. Each type offers different benefits, such as varying levels of heat rejection, UV protection, and visibility. Carbon tint provides a matte finish and heat rejection while ceramic tint offers superior heat and UV protection with minimal reflectivity. Metallic tint is the most durable, but we avoid using them as they may interfere with electronic signals.
